“I recommend making braised meat ahead of time and keeping portions in the freezer for instances like this. Once you have some braised meat on hand, making a quick banh mi style sandwich could not be easier. All you need is some bread, a few veggies, some pantry staples, and it’ll come together in minutes.”

FAQ
What if I don’t have Maggi seasoning?
If you don’t have Maggi, soy sauce would work too.
Are there variations of this?
You can switch up the protein and use grilled chicken breast, pork belly, or even cold cuts. You could use any kind of or vegetable in this sandwich, although the combination of aromatics + sauces in this recipe are what give the sandwich its signature flavor.
